Sometimes, decisions must be made.  Decisions that can interfere with dreams and plans for the future.  I’ve had to decide whether to have surgery or not, knowing that my decision can easily take me back to a place I may not return. Yet, I might?

Please visit my website at journeyformagnificence.com for my shared path to recovery and fulfilling dreams.

My next video will not be a covered bridge as I my travel will be limited for a while.  If I can get Nicky, my cat, to corporate, I will introduce him.  At least I plan on something other than a covered bridge for next time.

Thank you for watching.

Talked much

I’ve talked much about magnificence…my journey to compete in the Senior Olympics.  Please visit my website at journeyformagnificence.com for my next article which is about goals, plans and such.  After that, I’ll be more specific about what I am doing to train…and… transform myself into a hottie.

I’ve said many times, that everyone, no matter the age or whether in a nursing home, a hospital, sitting on a park bench, at work, home with the kids, or just reading my post out of curiosity, regardless, all of us, you, are on a journey.

For some, the journey is rough, pushing one to the point of questioning whether one can endure one more minute of life.  For others, easy street with a bump or two in the road as they travel on their way to desires fulfilled.

Whatever your circumstances, you have the strength to make your journey a grand adventure.  You are worthy enough to honorably stand before the Gods, or God, as you wish, knowing that you made the best of what you are and what you accomplished, even if you failed over and over again.  Failure is the cornerstone of strength, wisdom and nothing to be ashamed about.

If any of your goals or plans are to harm or torture, others, animals, yourself, then, you should seek professional help. A grand adventure is an honorable one and not one of destruction. Though we may strive to be honorable, not all are, nor chose to be, even though they can.  But that is not you.  You are not a quitter.  You are magnificence for the trying of thing.

As always, please seek medical advice before you start any endeavor.  And, guard your own personal safety in all that you do.

Hello

What is magnificence?

It is that internal fire within all things, that spark of inspiration which nurtures the soul, gives life to form. It can give true meaning and purpose to one’s journey and foster the courage to simply show up on competition day which is a victory in its self – at the age of 70 plus.

Magnificence is …something to become.

Yet, for all that magnificence can inspire, it is very delicate. It can be crushed under the weight of a single word, a thought, a bad day and truly by one’s own self.

I have been pursuing one thing or another, and magnificence, for over 70 years. I have created hundreds of plans, charts and forms.

So much time and effort, did I put in all those plans and such, that when the time came to actually follow them, I found myself either exhausted, bored, broke or things had changed so much that what had been done had to be redone.

What I learned is that magnificence so delicate it can be crushed by the act of not doing something when inspiration. Make a plan, a chart, a form but get on with it! But, if your inspiration is to do harm, evil, hurt human or animal, anything, yourself, then get help. I do not encourage anyone to harm anyone, yourself and/or anything in anyway.
Believe me, you don’t want to crawl into “what comes next” once life is done with you, burdened with the evil, harm and hate you have created – but – humbly with the knowledge that you tried to nurture the best that you are and tried to help others the best that you could. What I say has nothing to do with any religion or cult. It is out of respect.

All that being said – Now – as we walk together, take in a deep breath of clean air. Look about. See the beauty of nature as she sleeps awaiting spring and new beginnings. Feel that wonderous excitement inside yourself for the outstanding things to come and the incredible things that you can do for yourself and others.

Don’t plan your life away but live it. Nurture the goodness, the magnificence within yourself and encourage others to also do so. Always keep your eyes wide open and be aware of everything around yourself at all times.

Be safe in all that you do. Always follow your own advice as you, not me, are the best guide to the journey you are on.

Thank you for watching.

Please visit my website – journeyformagnificence.com – I will post a monthly article and “walk together” video with typed words.

Good Morning

I could not think of a better way of introducing myself other than taking an early morning walk with you.

In 2017, at the age of 70, I had my first swimming lesson. Then, I started a training journey, and journal, to compete in the Senior Olympics swimming competition after that power walking.

I failed my training over and over for a lot of reasons. I spent too much time finishing my book, The Witch’s Heart – Tale of Emma McGrael © – I spent too many hours writing in my journal. Un-ending chores and projects, health issues and, to be honest, I am a terrible swimmer and walker… on and on… BUT… I really failed for two reasons.

Never did I search for nor embrace magnificence.

Magnificence is that internal fire within all things, that spark of inspiration which nurtures the soul, that which gives true meaning and purpose to one’s journey, fosters the courage to simply show up on competition day which is a victory in its self. …something to become.

And, in all those years, I measured my successes and failures not by my own standards, or abilities, but by the opinions of others and society’s expectations, demands, as one on the other side of youth knows… society can be destructive to one’s own self-image especially if you are not a part of the trend of the day.
I have restarted my journey and journal titled, “A Senior’s Journey for Magnificence ©” – to learn from my past, future successes and failures, to welcome others, especially those on the other side of youth, not to give up – and – I started a website to hold myself accountable to myself.

I know my journey ahead is going to be hard, I can easily fail, and staying on the path is harder as I get older and my “to do” list grows, but the outcome could be magnificence. I can become stronger, healthier, more confident – if I don’t give up – if I search for my own magnificence.

If you are still with me, well it can’t be my wonderful video skills or my incredible public speaking, that keeps you watching – and I don’t really know – but – I think you are on a journey too?

I hope your journey will not be mean, destructive or cruel but something positive – kindness and understanding for yourself, especially for yourself, and those around you.

I hope that you will find your magnificence. Don’t put yourself down. You are strong. You are capable. You can become an inspiration to yourself, others and to their journeys to find a better version of themselves.

Be safe in all that you do. Always follow your own advice as you, not me, are the best guide to the journey you are on.

Thank you for watching.
